A low fieldstone wall creates an unobtrusive separation between street and structure, providing an entry procession to the home. The enclosure of the backyard is a modern reinterpretation of the rural picket fence that serpentines through the landscape offering a sculptural quality. A screen porch provides a retreat within the contemplative setting of this part of the garden, and the sound of water provided by a small oval pool tucked into the landscape muffles external city noise.
