TEMPLE EMANU EL
Temple Emanu-El has been the heart of the Jewish community in Dallas since 1875, although the current campus was first established in 1957. The original campus was designed by famed modernist architects Howard Meyer and Max Sandfield in 1957 and expanded in two later phases in 1978 and 1994. In 2008 a campus master plan update began for the 19-acre site; the new plan would address new and renovated buildings, as well as re-designed and adjusted site elements, intended to foster connectivity and social interaction among the members. This new focus on restoration and reclamation was realized in 2016.
