This residence is set in the older, established Greenway Parks neighborhood of Dallas. The project's focus creates a formal, but contemporary design that optimized the entire site, addresses the open, linear greenbelt park, and compliments the restored 1930's Tudor style home. The entry sequence begins with a beautifully minimal, crushed aggregate, live oak-shaded motor court that provides guest parking and connection to the garage. A 6-foot stone privacy wall helps to organize the space while providing a sense of surprise when visitors pass through the pivot gate into the entry court. This outdoor room succeeds through a clearly organized planting strategy complimented by a small brass scupper water feature. The home's back garden opens to the borrowed views of the shared greenbelt beyond.
