This residence rests high on a single acre, northeastern-facing slope of a canyon in the Pasadena hills. The existing site was completely redesigned and renovated to responsibly address erosive conditions of the sloping topography and take advantage of key vistas into the arroyo valley below, home to the Rose Bowl. The result is a meticulously-detailed layering of planar hardscape elements enveloped and softened by a xeric, textural landscape.
